Rocky Mountain Regional Conference
April 6-8, 2018
Albuquerque Academy

Workshop Proposal Deadline: February 23, 2018 - Submit now!

What are we looking for?  We are looking for workshops that connect two or more of the below themes that center around Experiential Intersectionality. Connections that you see exist between categories like environmental education and public land use OR between access and advocacy and world view.

Questions to answer if you are still stumped about a workshop proposal topic:

  • What topics are you passionate about?
  • What areas do you have expertise in?

If you are knowledgeable in an area that is not exemplified in the theme but can still connect it to the overall theme of the conference, write it out! Create a workshop out of it!

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to email us at

What is Intersectionality?
This year we chose experiential intersectionality as the theme for our regional conference. This phrase may seem a bit confusing or undefined. To help with that, we have included three videos below that provide clear definitions of what intersectionality means.

Below is a link to a TED Talk by Kimberlé Crenshaw, the researcher and civil rights advocate who termed and introduced intersectionality to the world.
